An important part of postural corrective is strengthening.
We stretch the over short muscles and strengthen the muscles that support that new length… in other words, we strengthen the muscles that move our bones in the opposite direction the shortened muscles are pulling.
In this case we are strengthening rhomboids and lower traps to support new length to pec major and minor, which we learned how to stretch last week.
We are also strengthening my superstar muscle, serratus anterior, which stabilizes the shoulder blade to allow proper bio-mechanics of the shoulder joint.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this 3 week series, and have found it helpful in your life!
